You know, if Americans are tired of paying for genocide there is a way to stop. It's called a #TaxStrike The right has so gutted the IRS that it would be completely unable to respond to any large scale and organized strike.
The legal effects you would experience by using your privilege are definitely less bad for you than anything that's happening to people in #Gaza or #Lebenon right now. And really, the legal consequences are much safer than the nuclear that #Israel will almost definitely start as they continue to expand tensions.
But that's assuming legal consequences at all. Some quakers have been successfully resisting taxes for decades on religious grounds. There are people who simply tie up the IRS in court. The cost of legal fees is about the same as paying taxes, but the money goes to pay a person to fight the system instead of paying for bombs to drop on children.
I'm kind of surprised more people aren't talking about this.
