I honestly don't know if my Stacker News article is ever going to come out, but rather than go on a long-winded explanation justifying my procrastinative tendencies, I'll bullet point the reasons instead.
• Life gets in the way; work, familial obligations, and just laziness resulting from personal choices (including chronic lack of sleep and general self-care).
• Every other topic could be finished without issue, but the primary topic (Blockstream Coin) keeps on with how much bullshit gets added on top of what I already have to write about it; the conceptualization of Lightning as a way to avoid making the only viable scaling improvement (sensible block size expansion), which also applies to SegWit, Drivechains, and now the (forcefully imposed) metadata increase that has resulted in BSC civil war.
• Loads of reference material that would take weeks (months for the BSC portion) to digest properly, including proofreading and contextual highlighting. For videos, this is more critical of a requirement that ALSO necessitates rewatching.
By the time the article finally gets published, it's likely the ongoing BSC civil war and its ever expanding level of bullshit will immediately render it outdated. I sure am looking forward to that.
