I'm alive and spitting in the faces of fascists (metaphorically).
Just thought I'd update you all. I've been spending 10 hour workdays helping trans kiddos in light of the new executive orders. And I'm so proud of my organization, my boss, and the teams we have after last night. We all pivoted when the EO dropped and opened up zoom rooms, discord chats, and other spaces to help trans kids, their families, and the community before it even hit most news sites. And we are on the front lines of fighting all these things.
Be gay and aid the social transition of minors.

Piece of advice friends: you are going to feel powerless and impotent in the days and years to come. There will be times you want to scream at someone or tear someone down because of your rage and despair at things you canβt control.

So, as a non-binary person, I no longer exist according to the US government. They are going to scrub any acknowledgement of our existence from their records. And in the decades to come, the children under "don't say gender" policies will not know we exist....
...and that is when we become legend and myth! Cryptids spotted in passing but no one believes them!
"Teacher teacher! I see someone who isn't just a woman or man!" "No you didn't, stop making things up, Billy."
The government will deny we exist and there will be cover-ups. Late night radio shows will have people calling in and spreading rumors that we can teleport, that we're omens of the end-times, and that we're best friends with sasquatch. And they will tell tales of seeing us at the grocery store or the library to frighten the fascists at bed-time. MWUAHAHAHAHA
