So I say to myself…what are y’all gonna do?
High paying hi-tech jobs with a foundation in math, statistics, and computer science are sitting unfilled because people lack the technical skills. At the same time, there is plenty of untapped talent around the world with the desire to learn. Throw on economic hardship with a broken financial system and you’ll start to see that this is a big global mess.
Suppose you do find educators willing to teach, how much will they be paid? They will most likely be underpaid and undervalued because people tend to value YouTube sensations more. At what point will society value educators?
Let’s be honest…How many people are equipped with the skills needed for the 4th industrial revolution? If you don’t have the human intelligence, you’ll be replace with artificial intelligence. So who is gonna teach them the skills? Better yet, who has the skills to teach the skills? More importantly, who can *effectively* teach? Just because you open your mouth and start talking…that doesn’t mean you’re *teaching*.
For the sake of humanity, I’ll *partially* come out of retirement to teach adults. After being asked for the umpteenth time, I said…fine, I’ll do it. I’m an educator at heart. But under certain conditions!
Professionalism is important.
Over two months and counting… I hope it’s worth the wait. ⏳
A new day ✨
