Spyware threatens our democratic values by undermining decision-making, restricting debate, and silencing voices.
As new EU institutions take office, the threat of spyware demands urgent action. CDT Europe & 30 orgs urge the incoming EU bodies to:
- Ban spyware grossly violating rights
- Strengthen export controls
- Ensure transparency in government spyware use.
The EU must act to restore trust and protect our values.
