At the Web5 World Fair in Austin TX. Just watched @david give a presentation on integrating a WoT (web of trust) tool for a determining level of trustworthiness for handling tasks for a decentralized Fiver/TaskRabbit/Uber/DoorDash economy. image #Web5WorldFair
Wanted to get a better understanding on how Blossom works, so I checked out npub1h8nk2346qezka5cpm8jjh3yl5j88pf4ly2ptu7s6uu55wcfqy0wq36rpev's interview with @hzrd149 Most of the discussion was too technical for me to follow, but there were bits that I found really fascinating. Guy's comments about Nostr incentivizing data hoarding, and enabling a torrent-like marketplace of information retrieval (news articles, YouTube videos, hard to find cat memes, etc) was like getting a glimpse into the future; a kind of crowdsourced Internet Archive, as he more specifically put it. So, hold on to those funny cat .gifs you've been collecting. You never know if it disappears from the web, and somebody is willing to pay you some sats to send them a copy. image
Running hella late to Day 1 of the Under|Mine #HeatpunkSummit . A 5hr flight delay. Fark. Day 1 is nearly wrapped up at this point. Anyway, this is the inaugural year of the event - a two day convention focused on bitcoin mining heat reuse. The event is at a co-working/local bitcoin community hub in Denver called "The Space".
