Tucked away in the GOP's budget reconciliation bill, nicknamed the "One Big, Beautiful" bill, is a dangerous provision that would impose a 10-year moratorium on state AI regulations. Just as a gift to Trump donors.
This means states would be barred from enforcing laws related to artificial intelligence, such as those addressing deepfakes, algorithmic discrimination and job displacement.
