And I now have the reason there is a 7:1 ratio of cables to charging adapters… 🤦‍♂️ image View quoted note →
One of the benefits of waking up early is you get to see cool creations. Jupiter and Venus in the morning sky. My photo did a horrible job of capturing through the telescope but it’s solid #pow #proofofwork in my book! PS do we have any real telescope photos that reveal planets like they supposedly are from the Hubble? Or are those all made up to 🤷‍♂️🤪 #photostr #photography #astronomy #space
Product observation—how come we have countless cables around the office; but can never seem to have enough charging adapters for said cables? It’s not even close…like 7:1 🤦‍♂️ I don’t need any more lightening or USB-C cables…I just want a charging block for the wall so I can plug these darn cables into something useful 🤪 Is that too much to ask 🤷‍♂️ In search of 👇 image
One of my fondest memories was hiking the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and sleeping on the Esplanade—one of the large flat rock plateus before the final descent down to the Colorado river. It was such a wide and vast space with absolute zero artificial light, that you can see the Milky Way and constellations moving across the sky in brilliant hues. It was truly an awe inspiring moment and I’m grateful to God for His creation and the fact we get to enjoy it. View quoted note →

Good Sunday Morning, Nostriches! A recent chat with my son got me reflecting on purpose. He mentioned not knowing what he wants out of life—something many of us have felt at some point. As we talked, I reminded him (and myself) of a timeless truth: Simply put, all of creation’s purpose is to bring glory to God. Purpose is accomplished through mission—the assignments He gives us along the way. Throughout life, God calls us to different missions. Some last a season; others a lifetime. But no matter the role—parent, leader, entrepreneur—our core purpose stays the same: to glorify the Lord. It’s a reminder for all of us: Align your daily mission with eternal purpose. What mission are you on right now? Drop it below—I’d love to hear. #Leadership #Faith #Purpose #GM #PV #entrepreneurship #business #parenting image
I understand the premise of this however "manual labor" or so titled "blue collar work" isn't the only way to build resilience and discipline. For example, 99% of the jobs referenced are probably best served from one's own back yard. You know...get the kid off the video games and into the real world. Also, blue collar work isn't known for building critical and strategic thinking. Sure it requires short term solutions...but it's really about "here is the process, follow the process...if you don't then you won't become a journeyman..." The crux of what I'm trying to communicate is this: The teaching and the learning beings at home! Mom and Dad raising young adults (not children) who can function and create value in society.
