This is one of the pitfalls financially wealthy, especially if one is a Christian, that we need to be aware of: Building Bigger Barns and Store Houses isn’t Stewardship View quoted note →
I heard something in passing on a podcast the other day. I was on a long road trip so I don’t recall which show or episode but it struck me enough to write this. 1. We must, and 2. Soon we will not tally BTC, rather we will tally Satoshis. It’s simple math. Not enough (whole) #bitcoin to go around so the shift needs to happen to thinking not in terms of how many bitcoin I have but how many sats I stacked. 🤔
Great excpert from Built for the Fight by Mike Tobias “Stay Humble and Keep Learning The best leaders never stop learning. They ask questions. They seek wisdom. They stay teachable, even when they are in charge. Look at Solomon. When God gave him a blank check, he did not ask for power or wealth. He asked for wisdom. And because of that posture, God gave him both. That one decision shaped a generation of leadership and built a kingdom known for peace and prosperity. Now look at Saul. He had the position, the title, and the people’s praise. But he stopped listening. He refused correction. He acted out of fear and pride. And it cost him everything. The difference was not talent. It was teachability. If you want to lead well, stay humble. Read. Ask questions. Surround yourself with men[tors] who challenge you to grow. Let others speak into your blind spots. Be slow to speak and quick to learn. Leaders who stop learning eventually stop leading.” Built For The Fight: The Battle to Become the Man You Were Created to Be https://amzn.to/406bLdi #bookstr #books #leadership #self-improvement #wisdom
Good morning Nostriches! I find it encouraging and heart warming when we get our strength from the LORD, all that was plundered is returned to us. “David was in a difficult position because the troops talked about stoning him, for they were all very bitter over the loss of their sons and daughters. But David found strength in the Lord his God.” 1 Samuel 30:6 HCSB David’s men came across a sick Egyptian who was from the raiding party and in exchange for mercy the Egyptian led David and his men to the captors. “Nothing of theirs [David and his men] was missing from the youngest to the oldest, including the sons and daughters, of all the plunder the Amalekites had taken. David got everything back.” 1 Samuel 30:19 HCSB #GM #Biblestr #God #Jesus #Christ #wisdom

There is significant power in building relationships with the people you are aligned with or can really help. This whole idea of spray your brand as far and wide as possible and catch who you can catch… Well, that’s so late 1900’s 😉 As a business, as leaders, if you aren’t focused on people in 2025…you are doing it wrong!
Leaders... Hone in on that Redemptive Frame. This is how it's done! image
Being busy doesn’t mean you’re building anything worthwhile…anything that will last. This past month has had sprints of busyness within our extended family. (Aging members and the life choices they need help making then executing). In large part it’s left my wife and I just “blah” when we’ve had any opportunity to breathe. Yes family is important. In fact it’s number 3 on my Heirarchy of Relational Leadership™ 1. God 2. Self 3. Family 4. Everyone and everything else Yet I don’t feel like this has been a successful relay, even though I know we’ve made an impact. Success too across these sprints just feels blah… As a leader, I think this is a precarious position to be in. We are presented with a choice: Do we say “no more” or do we dig deep(er) and push through? If we are truly following Christ’s example of Servant Leadership, then the answer becomes clear…we don’t necessarily dig deeper, rather we lean into Him harder. We lead ourselves in such a manner that it reflects the Son. In short, we continue to serve even if it doesn’t seem like we are building anything worthwhile. Why? Becasue penultimately it’s not about us. It’s about Him, God the Father…that’s why He’s Numero Uno, First, Alpha on the list 👆 So as a leader whether it’s at home, in a boardroom, or on a platform…Be consistent. Spotlight moments don’t build leaders. Leadership is built in quiet faithfulness.
