Public libraries in Tennessee have begun a review of children's collections after Secretary of State Tre Hargett (R) ordered them to remove books with LGBTQ themes or characters. Some of the state's 181 libraries will be closed for days to ensure their books comply with the recently passed Tennessee law prohibiting DEI and Trump's "Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government" executive order, the latter of which might not even apply here.
