We will need to retire the option to use namespaces in Redis (i.e. setting the REDIS_NAMESPACE environment variable) in Mastodon 4.4. If you run a Mastodon server and currently use Redis namespaces, please have a look at this discussion and leave some feedback:

We recommend server administrators to update as soon as possible if they use SAML, or are on the development version. If you are using our nightly releases, a container image with the fix has been published with the nightly.2025-03-14-security tag.
