LinkedIn offered me a “Professional Networking” course. I took it, it was free and I was bored, I passed but I do not agree with its content. I found it deeply manipulative and unethical:
- Spying on people in their social networks.
- Keeping a record (“excel”) with likes, phone nro, email, impact level for “my targets”, and so on.
- Keeping a calendar to strategically contact someone offering them gifts based on our previous research.
- Even timing when people eat or drink coffee to improve our “timing” of when to meet other people “casually”.
Do people commonly do this in real life?
Creepy mofos.
