Literally everything In Pakistan works on a bribe. The kid that is standing outside the mall, helping you park your car and watching it for security is paying four separate bribes to different police and government officials to allow him to stand there and help people park their cars and provide security. He makes only 20% of what his gross revenue is because he has to pay four separate bribes. They make it impossible to do business here. No wonder people are desperate to leave.
Been in Pakistan for almost 3 weeks and have missed the United States almost every single day It’s about the little things, like cleaner air, cleaner water, and people waiting online rather than just a free for all. Sure, America has all sorts of problems, but, I miss home. That’s usually a sign that I gotta go grab a slice of New York pizza and a cup of coffee so that I can recharge my batteries for being outside the United States.
