Tonight we're celebrating my divorce. My (current and good) husband: thank you for getting divorced. Me: my pleasure!!!!

It's freaking cold and beautiful outside today.

When it's -14C, it's less crowded on the hiking trails, and the people who are there seem to be as happy as me to be outdoors. I saw big irrepressible smiles on the few faces I passed. #snow #winter

Once I made a king size quilt of silk that had been dyed traditionally using beets, onion skins, etc. I had some little scraps left and couldn't bear to throw them away, so I made this mini throw. I never had a security blanket as a child, but lately I've found myself reaching for this for the softness. #quilt
