Last Christmas, I got jackery backup batteries with solar panels for my kids... and it was a much appreciated gift! Hubby is supposed to be brainstorming gift ideas for the kids but instead he's looking up auto door openers FOR CHICKEN COOPS with... I am not kidding... facial recognition for your chicken to make sure you don't let in the WRONG CHICKEN. What a life.

AI hands every exec in every company the ability to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs and they make the wrong choice every.single.time. It's the end stage of a culture that promotes the wrong people to power.

In the last day, two examples of AI enshittifying/making extra work: 1 - AI sending email requests for info I'd already sent an audiobook producer (for the second time) 2 - my adult kiddo's prof is using AI to create nonsensical quizzes and study guides instead of teaching. Don't use AI🔨
