Rocky Linux 10 and compatible marks a big change on Linux, the end of X11. Will this affect Friction? No, our Linux binaries are already compatible with X11 and native Wayland. Friction will work out-of-the-box on Rocky Linux 10 and compatible. We will continue to support both X11 and Wayland for as long as possible.

🎯 Roadmap/status update... Based on testing and feedback from RC1 we have decided to do another release candidate. RC2 will feature some UI/UX changes that will improve your general workflow. We aim to release RC2 this month, with a final 1.0.0 release in July. Then all focus will be on v1.1... More improvement to the UI/UX and some new and shiny features.
