Elon's remarks on #simulationtheory are VERY convincing... You know you feel like we live in the Matrix, just like many of us do. Notice how it seems like we are in SimCity and suddenly civil unrest is turned up, then natural disasters get ramped up for a bit? The concept of the most interesting simulations being the ones allowed to continue fits this feeling.
Well, it's home again. A bit bittersweet but still better having it home than not. Thankfully the tow driver was super cool and he and his wife made a small trip out of it. I hooked them up with a bunch of potaotes and garlic as thanks which they both were very happy for. Now too come up with the $5k for hte new engine.... #homesteading #hive #peakd #dailyblog
I can say with first hand experience, TWICE in a month, that the best state to be broken down in is Montana. This is a VERY small sample size of 2... BUT hear me out, they were both incredible humans who I could easily tell so just in our interactions let alone our conversations. Long term tow life gives them a very cool perspective and, well it IS Montana. In the land of wide open spaces people tend towards a bit more concern for their fellow human, when there is no one for miles everyone needs to be aware. #lifelessons #relief #goodpeople
Better late than never I guess. I had slacked and missed getting the crocus in the ground on time so now I am forced to pot them up for the winter. They are Fall flowering so I really hope they will do fine in the pots in the warmer studio under the grow light. It will make picking the saffron super easy if we manage to get any. After the predawn rain stopped yesterday morning the rest of the day was cloudy but not too cold. The farm has EXPLODED in fungus and I saw more types than I could keep count of as I wandered. They love the mosses but the massive patch is by the chicken coop which I have watched expand massively over the years. Articulated prints finally and they are coming out pretty killer. Had to search by license type for ones that can be sold but am finding some good ones. The boys have tons of interest from school already... #homesteading #fungus #3dprinting #hive #peakd #dailyblog
Ahhh, the good old days. #FunBeforeTech #winkwinknudgenudge image
The garden is finally winterized fully. The greenhouse was the last to get dealt with and now the garlic is all protected and fenced in. This year was a lot easier than other years given I had many of the rows already pulled and put away. I'm figuring next season will be a godd bit differenet than the prior as I ramp down production of most produce in favor of the garlic and potatoes. #homesteading #farming #gardening #hive #peakd #dailyblog
Yesterday I tore out the tomatoes from the greenhouse then yanked the kale and chard. It's 24F this morning so today the rest of the farm will get winterized, a touch late but better than after snows. Thankfully it's only a few things to do to have it ready for winter. #homesteading #farming #gardening #hive #peakd #dailyblog
The animals all dove into the grain as soon as I started shoveling it out of the trailer yesterday morning. The grain was super wet after the mass of rain fell on the barrels and then super heavy. Much of my day was spent trying to rest my damned body that keeps wanting to revert to pain... #homesteading #3dprinting #hive #peakd #dailyblog
One hell of a storm yesterday that dumped rain then after it passed gave us super killer clouds, just in time for the Trunk or Treat. It was a full day around the farm and I've finally started printing articulated toys which are coming out pretty damned cool. The dragon and snake are both really nifty and I can see why there are so many people printing them out. #homesteading #3dprinting #hive #peakd #dailyblog
