Some of the software built and maintained by dyne.org is better known than Dyne itself. If you enjoy editing video, it is likely that you have come across #FreiØr. It's one of the most extensive collection of free and #openSource video plugins made to share video effect inventions and knowledge on how to develop them. Interoperability is a community process. And all #community processes have a story that is worth to be told. The story of frei0r is a beautiful one. The easiest way to use frei0r is to download #KDEnlive, which comes with all the best plugins bundle in it. Stabilizing #360video? No problem! #Glitch effects? Of course! Simple color correction? Naturally! Every plugin is built by a passionate and generous #developer for you to use in your work, #art or hobby projects. Contributions are welcomed with open arms! image
Take your fate in both hands, and gain control over what information you ingest. One way to do that is to subscribe to RSS feeds or Newsletters. Why not the ones issued by Dyne.org? image It will show you things that rarely surface elsewhere. Tools, practices, narratives, memes, art. Always with friendly glow. It's free as in freedom beer, but you can also chose to support Dyne.org and enable hackers to hack! As we observe "positive" and "relatable" becoming hard currency out there on the world wild web with all it's gloom, Dyne has become a sort of an open bank full that currency! We'd like to show you the way to the vault!
Above anything, Dyne.org is #community. The inspiration and ideas leading to the tools we build and maintain are generally born within that dynamic. Someone pops into one of the bridged channels and shares a funky idea. Sometimes it might even be a point of friction. image CJIT was born this way. Someone asked how hard it would be to run C code instantly, without needing to build it first. One thing led to another and suddenly a handful of dynes were #hacking away. image Initially thought out as a cute little side-gig, the project grew and gathered a bit of attention. It is still cute AF (less than #1Mb), but powerful 🦾 and continuously improved: version 0.15.11 was released last week! Try it out for yourself!
