ok so @npub12gl2...frt9 and me finally discovered the root cause for wifi reception issues in Pocket Reform. it's mega embarassing m))) it's interesting that there's reception at all... through a full copper plate...
i'm back from vacay and at MNT to catch up on lots of stuff! also started to process everything and one thing that pops into my mind is how we had 2 pocket reforms as our only computers (except android phones) and thinking about how to get them from "it mostly works" to a "delightful" shape this year (inspired a bit by a recent talk by @npub164g6...k0lj)
βtotal unshipped Crowd Supply MNT Pocket Reform post-campaign orders are now down to 9.
βall rk3588 based orders from our shop are waiting for new rcore (adapter) pcb batch to ship to us from pcbway (eta ~2wks)
βclassic mnt reform orders are waiting for 100x motherboard 3.0 assemblies that have 4-6wks eta (very complex sourcing, agreed on bom quote today@pcbway and bought the most expensive chips)
βi'm on vacation till feb 24th
thank you for your patience!
currently plotting the ramp-up of voltage input to pocket reform's charger board as produced by different brands of usb-c chargers. one could recognize them all by their different signatures :D
OK it's a wrap! the MNT Reform Next crowdfunding campaign is _done_! this was such a wild ride, and honestly more successful than i imagined. i greatly appreciate the trust you put in my team and me. i'm looking forward to get this computer ready for production and ultimately into your hands!
