Across my gaming journey through the years, the one gane that has my heart is Warframe. If you haven't played it - Warframe is essentially portraying a "Space Ninja" so to speak albeit with numerous other twists and turns I would encourage anyone to explore and check out on their own. Yesterday I reached a "True Master" level, which in game essentially means I have played quite a bit over the span of a decade, but what I realized is that I LOVE helping other players. Helping a new player by answering a question, helping them complete an activity they may be stuck on - or even gifting them an item in game that I know they likely need - or will. No other game I've ever tried, harbours such a positive community and the feedback loop is wonderful for people like myself that prefer to put our time and energies into things that create good. Just my random thoughts from a gamer heading into 2024's hibernation season with Mother Nature. πŸ’β€β™‚οΈ #Gamestr
Bit the bullet today and parked it in front of my computer long enough to understand the missing puzzle-pieces and gaps in my Lightning Network comprehension. Opened my own node / channel and am moving right along. Next step will be to "Verify" myself on Nostr and a few other tweaks along the way. ⚑️
Two nights of sleep in the book - adjusting well to the shikibuton. My only challenge of sorts was figuring out the proper level of blanket to use. My kakebuton is super high-quality but almost too warm even with temperatures beginning to dip at night. Switched to a regular cotton blanket a bit thinner and felt way better last night. All in all I'm excited to see what changes if anything, but also just happy to get rid of the clustered feeling of a large bed.
Alright. A full day of cleaning / downsizing my living space. The shikibuton and kakebuton are aired out, and soaked up some sunshine and fresh air for the day. No, I'm not laying these on top of my shite mattress / bed, that's all been taken down and stored away. Also, covers or whatever they may refer to as sheets for these have been added so that they get some protection. Excited to try out some floor sleeping.
Fairly certain that the new bed I bought from Kōchi Japan shipped out via UPS and based on tracking information has essentially traveled back in time to reach me. Pretty cool imo. πŸ’β€β™‚οΈ image

Serious question. At 36 I feel I have so much yet to learn, however I have, and do - pride myself on trying my best to be a good friend. I reach out, at the least I will send someone a text sort of "checking in" if I know the odds are good they have family / work obligations. Is it wrong of me to at least expect a reply, at any time? Undoubtedly one can't expect any timeline here, but I have to say, I feel disrespected as a friend when someone can't even bother to ever respond. πŸ€” Making new social connections at 36 and living in a rural area is hard man... #asknostr #advice
