I bought this book in the Antikvariát Dlážděná in Prague for i think very little money; it’s heavy and approx 16x11 inches / 40 x 28cm. This 1896 engraving shows the entrance to Batalha Monastery The portrayal of light and shadow, foreground and depth, is very strong here. There are clear Moorish influences, i’d say, being no expert in such things.
