I think Americans, blessed with relatively stable government for a long time, assume there is someone, some adult, who will step in and make things right before the President does anything REALLY bad. There’s not.

Lee Atwater had a pungent and famous quote about how once conservatives could no longer use the n-word they used things like “states’ rights” to invoke the same spirit. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration any more — if it ever was — to say they use DEI as the n-word. RE:
Anyway as they pull bodies out of the Potomac bear in mind that the guiding ethos of Trumpism is that the TSA, NTSB, and FAA should be radically downsized and run by dudes whose main qualifications are loyalty are a willingness to say “cunt” a lot

The GOP’s and right-wing media’s complete capitulation to the nomination of RFKJr. is a pretty good indicator of what a sad cult they have become. Dude is a career lunatic and they are all in because it reflects Trump’s power.
Calling Seth Abramson “Elon Musk’s biographer” is unhelpful and misleading on the scale of referring to Jeffrey Dahmer as “well-known foodie” RE:
Just a reminder that if you say tow the line instead of toe the line you are just like Eric Trump. RE:
There seems to be a surge of people who don’t understand irony, sarcasm, satire, or parody, which is unfortunate because all I have other than those things is pity and disdain
