There’s a narrative that Gaetz was a deliberate head-fake — a distraction to boost the real candidate — but I am always suspicious of narratives that attribute four-dimensional chess to trump as opposed to knocking over the table and eating the checkers.

Apparently Trump just announced he is unilaterally ending birthright citizenship. I would have ridiculed it as preposterous a few years ago. Now? Well, watch the Federalist Society start holding seminars on why he’s right, and I am not confident this Supreme Court will disagree.
