It's wild to me that the big national orgs who fought so hard against the Medicaid cuts mostly justβ¦left up their now long-outdated calls to action against the bill that passed in July. Now that congressional dems are kinda doing something, it's mostly radio silence. Did everyone ragequit? WYD?

Anyway the reason I came here to talk about info overload x channel proliferation instead of yelling into a tree is that I suspect that widespread feelings of precarity + low trust + responsibility-without-control can push a populace toward simplistic solutions that are also very bad.
I think we got ourselves into this state as a society by believing in the tool-sellersβ promises and now they are pushing a way to make the chaos more unaccountable and less connected to our actual desires (AI) as a solution to the problem they made

I counted up the number of ways (platforms, accounts, apps) that people in my professional and personal lives plus healthcare systems and kidβs school are contacting me and uhh. This is objectively impossible.
