I’m getting an important between-meetings update that frogs do in fact fart, but importantly *touching secret service earphone* you can’t hear it because their farting muscles are very small [welcome to summer break]
Today's arguments include the trans healthcare care funding ban and other punitive Medicaid cuts. "The most important Byrd meeting happens today. The Senate Finance Committee, which has all of Republicans’ tax and Medicaid priorities, will hold arguments in front of the parliamentarian." [6/23/25 ☀️ AM:]( )
Please call out the "gender-affirming care ban" or "trans healthcare funding ban." Don't assume "I oppose Medicaid cuts" will be heard as the ferocious support trans people need now from everyone who believes they deserve healthcare and safety. Oppose all cuts! But call this out, specifically. RE:
If you have a Dem senator, do not assume they will challenge the all-ages trans healthcare funding ban in the budget bill. Call them *today*. I’m squeezing my calls in between meetings. Cis folks doing “We support trans kids,” please please be on this. RE: View quoted note →
the best thing about coming out of a gruesome migraine besides not having the migraine is that the cognitive reboot means I lost everything I had in temporary memory and now I can choose what to load back in so, uh, see you in a few weeks ✌️
maybe just let the journalists who really liked 2022 Twitter dislike Bluesky, tho
“This is familiar ground, the idea that no matter what the right does … we have the responsibility to remain not just peaceful but peaceful in a way that pleases our enemies. It becomes collective responsibility and collective guilt…” RE: View quoted note →
“weaponizing the accountability sink” 💀 RE:
“It goes without saying that…” friends and colleagues in and out of the media, I assure you that it really does not
