I don't know about other folks, but this time of the year I get a nagging urge to draw up a calendar for the summer...an actual, pen and paper calendar. For some reason I feel the need to plan things out to get the most out of the summer days. I don't get this feeling any other time of the year, but I'm about to get out paper right now.
I'm not a fan of the language they use (I get it, humor, but still), however I'm a big fan of what these websites are all about: - Original: - One that popped up lately: I'm so much of a fan that I made my own version and one which I actually use fairly often as a framework to display simple pages like my "home page": - my version: - my home page:

Of my 4 Preakness picks, 3 were the top 3 finishers. Funny thing is, I said that if I was to bet, it would have been on Pay Billy who finished 7th! Even picking the top 3, I still would have lost! Proof of picks:
Umm, questions on the Mexican ship: - Why is the ship lit light a Christmas tree with a giant national flag? - Why is it seemingly going backwards under the bridge? - How do you not know the height of the masts and bridge clearance? - Though a sailing ship, sails were furled, so was it powering itself or was that a tug boat pulling it? - Are you serious?
![grads.gif](image) It's that time of year. Went to a graduation ceremony yesterday. Was neat to see young people excited about starting out.
Legend is that Velcro was invented after nature's cocklebur. Well, I'm claiming here and now that green lychees are the world's best scratchers. Someone please make a back scratcher based off nature's tech here. (And cut me in 1% on all sales for using my intellectual property.)
Loving this Steak 'n Shake thing. Pretty neat how excited people are to buy something, so excited and literally giddy to spend. And by the way, Steak 'n Shake burgers really are tasty. Making my Preakness 2025 calls right here and now: 1) Journalism 2)Sandman 3) Pay Billy 4) Gosger 1 and 2 are obvious favorites, the others are the longshots. However, I liked their past performances better than all the others (except 1 & 2). And oh, check my horse racing post:
Why are throw blankets always at the most annoying length humanly possible? You lie on the couch and snuggle up with the blanket. But, you must decide, "Should I go with a chill on my feet or on my chest? If the blanket was longer, not an issue. If it were shorter, wouldn't try. Yet they're always at the exact length to get you to seesaw back and forth, pull it up and down. There's a conspiracy in there somewhere.
