Vigil held in Damascus, outside People's Assembly building, yesterday calling for an end to violence and sectarian killings in Sweida and demanding accountability of those responsible. Solidarity demos also held in Jaramana. Those present also condemned the Israeli aggression which is inflaming tensions.
Israel targets a Ministry of Defense building in Umayyad Square in central Damascus - multiple strikes were reported. Israel is determined to create more instability. My thoughts with family, friends and loved ones.
Yesterday, the Syrian transitional government was meant to release its report on the massacres which happened on the coast in March, in which many Alawite civilians were killed. There has been no news about it. Not even an announcement about its delay. Many Syrians are rightly angry.
