Excellent. Humility and the ordinary life.
Is this you, @Laeserin 🇻🇦? "We modern serfs have forgotten something: we've forgotten how to live. You don't question the meaning of life when leisure is the heart of life rather than work. But with the rise of modern urban life, the intrinsic mode of living has died at the hands of the instrumental mode of life. Our entire lives have been colonised by "utility". We don't relax or rest for their own sake anymore — now we rest so that we are more productive. In this episode we explore these two relationships with time: the leisurely intrinsic mode and the future-oriented instrumental mode".
What am I doing wrong with relays? While I'm not farming engagement, it's nice to think that like-minded plebs might read my notes and respond, thus making new frens. However, visibility seems to be stuck at between 5-10 different plebs each time. Which is worse than Xitter ever was! What's happening? Are my notes really that bad? #asknostr
Bullish on bitcoin. Bearish on the extent to which human nature can be reformed by bitcoin alone, even after hyperbitcoinization and restructuring of global government, the rise of sovereign individuals and the convergence of low time preference activities with great technology advances. People are still people, and better incentives don't fully address the human condition. Yes it's gonna be better than today, so we're optimistically obliged to participate. But it's hardly the golden age of transcendence that our souls have dreamed about for generations. For a while I found some answers at the edge effect of bitcoin and the bible, especially those authors of thank god for bitcoin, who seemed to get this reality check. But apart from @Jordan on here, that 'genre' seems really quiet again. Sigh. Fix the money Slightly patch up the world Sigh 😔 #bitcoin #nostr #lightning #freedomtech #utopia #citadel #sovereign #bible #kingdomofgod
