This causes all kinds of problems at Google, and causes Brin to neglect his work and personal responsibilities. Larry Page, his co-founder, disapproves of the relationship and this causes much turmoil at the company.
Her marriage with Brin falls apart when she sleeps with Elon Musk, one of only a handful of men in the world richer than her husband. Musk publicly begs Brin for forgiveness at a party. Brin is so hurt he sells $336 million in Tesla stock, and his friends stop driving Teslas in solidarity.
Brin gives Shanahan a billion dollars in the divorce to go away.
Shanahan uses her money to run for vice president, and spread anti-vaxx conspiracy theories. The RFK movement helps Trump reclaim the White House.
Just because of who she was able to sleep with, this woman caused major turmoil at Google, destroyed the friendship of two of the richest men in the world, and plausibly determined the outcome of a presidential election.
Just an amazing story.
And goes to show how the MAGA movement is like a Dream Team of Apex grifters. You have the reality TV star taking over a major political party, the king of pseudoscience, the biggest influencers able to give the brain rotted masses what they want, and the woman who became a billionaire and influential political operative just by sleeping her way to the top.
This is what kakistocracy looks like in practice.
