Hmmm 🤔 one of the downsides of surgery... From a week up to the surgery, you're not allowed to shave (due to getting wounds). But... Now, I have these rules I have to follow, which mean... I can't shave! We're heading for very *very* warm days and my legs (among others 😂) look like I'm related to Arwen. 😂 And, my right leg is still pinkish in some spots as well. Definitely rocking the summer glamour look! :bowie_stardust: hahaha Well, rather look weird in shorts than smell and sweat in normal pants! The forecast for the next few days is wild! 🥵 Hopefully @Altbot can help me with this image. The temps mentioned are all in Celcius.

#Journal of a mostly drowsy Dutch Pixy :pixy_party: (Saturday, 14/06/2025). It was a weird night. I woke up every two to three hours. Either for the loo, or because I was getting a tad sore. And around 3, they wheeled someone into the room, which is never the best sign... I dozed, on and off, until it was time to get up. I got brekky and then I took my meds. After that, I got help to the bathroom for some freshening up. They moved my bed and added a chair for me. They were very busy with the young lady in the room. As I wanted to give them some privacy, I used my headphones to watch series on my phone. Then the physio came and she observed that I knew it all already. 😂 As was to be expected. She was pleased with the results. Back in the room, I had to get to the bed, so they could take me to radiology. The xrays went fast too, as I knew what to do there as well. Back to the room again. I watched my series some more, and then mum came. There was talk of me going home today already! Which was unexpected but also very positive. But then also came the bad news. The help I thought I had arranged got denied. So... No help for my socks and shoes and jabs. Well, I would be given pills instead of the jabs. They had some downsides. But it meant no needles. But yeah, the shoes and socks could be a thing... There was also good news on the new cup! With the one they used now, I don't have to be 100% off my leg for 6 weeks. With the physio, I am allowed to make a plan to get into the rehab bit by bit... Yay! But it also means I can do some more things a bit easier on my own. 😊 The surgeon (another one that didn't do the OP) talked it all through with me and my mum. And then... The wait began! We needed to get the discharge papers. And the prescription for the meds. Unfortunately, it took 2½ hours to get those papers! And then, we needed to wait a bit at the pharmacy. Arwen and Bas were very glad to see me again. 😊 Mum and I went for a short walk with the dogs, so Arwen could do her things before we drove to Herpen. When everything was unpacked, mum and I walked another short walk with Arwen and she did all she could. Yay for that! Mum went home after that, and I tried to relax a bit. But my new watch had arrived and I was eager to play with it. So, of course, that's what I did first. 😇 Although I did do it while lying on the bed. I dozed off for a bit while watching TV. Then I made myself some noodles. Some more relaxing with a wee bit of snoozing. Then it was time for both Arwen and my meds. I took Arwen our for one last wee. Took my other meds and brushed my teeth. And then I tried to sleep a bit. I slept on and off for about 2-3 hours. Just like the previous night. I went to the OR around 8:10, and really started waking up around 11:30. Went to the room around noon Then I had to wait three hours for my mum 😔 as she had my phone... Now I have it but looking at the screen to type is challenging. I'll ask @Altbot to help with the puncture that mum took of me, as I'm way too fuzzy for that. Thanks for all the well wishes. #Journal of a slightly stressed Dutch Pixy :pixy_party: (Thursday, 12/06/2025). I woke up about 40 minutes to the alarm. I gave Arwen her meds and then I got to the scale and dressed myself after that. We went out so she could do her things. I took my meds, and then I prepped Arwen's meal. I got my bag and headed to the gym for the last time in some weeks to come... 😢 I'm sure I'm going to miss that... But, this surgery should make sure that I can get better again and workout with less to no discomforts. My leg giving out so often is no fun at all. 😔 I got to the gym, and tried to answer the messages I had. Enjoyed my protein shake, and then I got to the seated bike. My leg wasn't enthusiastic. After twenty minutes, it already started to tingle. Probably thought it had done enough and that it was time for that surgery! 😂 After ten minutes in the massage chair, I said my "goodbye" to the gym for the next 6-8 weeks. It will be hard not to be able to go... 😔 I headed back home, washed up, had brekky. Then Arwen and I headed out for short walkies. There was a beautiful moon. ). We got back and I started to prepare some more things. I went upstairs to work on my blog a bit. I prepared the washing machine so it could run this morning. I started to cut the leek and mushrooms for the pasta sauce I was going to make. I didn't have onions, so I would have to get one when the store opens. I wrote a bit for my blog and I wrote a long message to a sweet friend. A very long message! 😂 Then I sorted my meds and I checked my beauty case so I would have all that I need in the hospital. I got my crutches down, and I sorted through some stuff. Like getting the recycling ♻️ things in the right bins and boxes, and filling the boxes of Arwen's snacks... Little things that will be helpful when I am restricted with the crutches. After the 6 o'clock walkies, I started the washing machine. I was hanging up the bits when bestie called on her way to work, so we had a nice chat. Then I got ready to walk to the store. I got the onions, and headed back. When I wanted to go to the vet to pick up Arwen's meds, she had to join me. So, I took her along. She waited in the car while I got the meds, and then we got back home again. We went for walkies, and met up with N&B. Which pleased Arwen to bits! 😇 We got back, and I cut up the onion. I cut the other two as well, and put them in the freezer in a bag. Mum can use them for her sauce as well. Otherwise they'd just be getting bad... Then, I started to clean up the couch. My neighbor texted that they were getting ready to come over. Yay! They helped me with the couch. Then I showed the bits of the house that are going manky, as they wanted to compare a bit. They left and I made the bed. Then I got all the things for the sauce and started preparing that. I had it all done and cooling off in bins when I saw the truck pull up with the bed. The guy set it all up, he was very nice and then he headed to the next customer. I made the bed and then I relaxed for a bit. Arwen and I had a short walkies with N&B. Then, things were a bit different because I wanted to go to bed later so I could sleep a little longer. I watched telly and chatted with a friend. But it was hard to keep awake and Arwen was wondering why the snacks didn't come! 😂 Around 17, I let Arwen out for the last wee and then I got to bed. It took a while to fall asleep. I woke around 20, needing the loo and being sweaty. It was a warm night! Then I woke up again around 23. So I went to the loo again and made use of the time to give Arwen her meds. I tried to sleep again, and I got a wee bit in, but around 23:45 I was awake again and my body was all tense. Tomorrow we'll have a different time schedule and after that, it will be a lot different for many weeks... Which will be quite a challenge. Mostly for me! I'll definitely miss taking the selfies with Arwen and walking through the night when it's peaceful and quiet... 🌕 Tried to take a snap of the moon, but my phone's AI was overdoing it a little so only got one kinda decent snap. Which I edited to share. 😊 Tonight will be busy. I'll work on my blog first. Then I'll refill all the boxes with Arwen's snacks. I'll try to clean some more. When it's later, I'll run the washing machine and then I'll hang it all. Hopefully it will be dry before I need to leave tomorrow morning. I'll need to visit a store for some onions for the pasta sauce as we forgot those yesterday... 😔 Then onwards to the vet to pick up Arwen's meds. Around ten, my neighbors will come to help me with my couch, so I need to have that clean and have the space available for it... Between 11-15 they should come with the bed. Let's hope they'll be early, so that I can make the bed and that I have some space to relax in between. 😊 Tomorrow, I need to be at the hospital at 7. My parents live near the hospital, but mum wanted to get there around 6:30, so we can park and head to the ward in time. So we'll need to leave the house around 5:30. I'll make sure that Arwen will have had her walkies and meds, and I'll do my best to remember that I'm not allowed to eat! 🫣 Busy day today, but after the hospital, I'll have "plenty of time" to relax. 😂 Have to see it in a positive way I guess. #AmWriting #Blog Well, I've slowly been trying to prepare some future posts to be scheduled on my blog site. I have managed to post a consecutive post now for over 1820 days, and I would not want to break that streak. The only posts that I can't schedule ahead are, of course, the journal ones. So, I will have to try to keep up with them... Hopefully, I can. I will need to use the Linux laptop again for those posts, as long as I am downstairs without the PC. I have tried to work with it, but I keep struggling with some things, that come automatically for me when I use windows. My autistic brain just likes things to be as it has known it for many years now, I guess... This is the list that I have scheduled now. I hope that @Altbot can help me with this, because I suck writing texts for this kind of images. Of course, posts can be changed, especially when other things pop up before they've been scheduled. I'm asking Arwen to go to a certain spot and then we'll she how she wants to proceed. When I drove home, I saw something lying in the street. I saw it too late to safely stop, so I wanna walk by it now and clean it off the street if it's still there... It's a bright night for now and the moon is almost full. I tried to get a decent snap of it and edited it to go with this Toot. 😊 Today should be a busy day, as we'll head to Germany for groceries. I have to make sure to get some things that I can use once. I'm dismissed from the hospital. Easy meals and drinks and all that. As I can't just walk to the store by myself and get what I need. At least, not during the first few weeks. When I can walk more with my two crutches, then I should be able to get some lighter things. But I'm glad that it's dry for now. Let's see which walkies Arwen will want tonight. I'll just follow... 😊 I tried my best at the gym. Had 8 minutes in the cross-trainer. Then ten on the treadmill. Followed by 20 minutes on the seated bike. Then, my leg had enough and gave out. After a nice massage in the chair, I headed back home again. Today should be OK enough, with some cleaning chores that I want to tackle... Slowly, but surely, preparing for the upcoming surgery, and the recovery time after that. Let's see if I can write a little bit for my blog during the walkies. And I'll try to work on my blog when we get back home again. I still want to try to have some more posts scheduled, so that I don't have to "stress" about posting something daily. I know I could just try to send a small update and that would count as a post. Arwen was feeling a bit bläh as well, but she did do all she needed, and got some sniffs in. I have been struggling a bit with apps these days, especially since I switched phones. I was hoping that most of my logins these days were saved in the special app that Samsung has for it. But, somehow, some passwords weren't accepted, and when I tried to change the passwords via email request, things haven't been working. The error I have had with PayPal on two accounts now, has happened again... :blobcatverysad: I have called with them, yesterday, again... And they thought it was my VPN. But when I switched that off, I still got the same errors. I can't receive a reset email from the website itself, as it won't allow my email, I keep getting errors. When they send me an email by hand, I do get it. And within ten seconds of pressing the link, it will tell me that the link has expired. Even though that should take up to ten minutes before it happens... They didn't understand it either... So, I fear that I may need to change my account *again* and then they can transfer the funds... Again... But that means I need to change my PayPal links everywhere and I need to wait even longer before I can access the money. And, I do need it if I wanna get Arwen's meds before my surgery next week.... Yes! Next week I will be going to the hospital today... Yikes! :ablobcatblinkhyper: The other issue I had was with Matrix. I wanted to login to the Element app on my new phone. But... The saved password wasn't accepted. I requested several reset emails, and I never got them... And yeah, I did check the spam folder... 😉 So I emailed them about it, got an automated reply, and am waiting for a follow up still. I just created a second account, as I wanted to be in the group chat with my friends from my phone as well... Ugh... And... I got all the settings right in my Flickr 📸 account. And then, the automated uploads took ages... Even though all the settings were alright and the images were just small ones in a jpg format. So I contacted them as well, and I got a follow up email, which I will need to follow up on now. Hopefully, today will be a relaxing day. I will need to get to the treadmill for a while, as I only had a short walk with Arwen, and I didn't do too much at the gym as I was feeling bläh. I'll need to head to the PC first, and work a bit on my blog. And then, let's see if I can change my clothes for a bit and walk the mill then... I am also hoping to get some gaming in today with a very sweet friend. I am charging the controller and headphones now, and I will log on to the purple beast later so I can grab the download. I want to do all these things, and my brain can't decide, and my body just wants to relax and do nothing except be a couch potato... We did walk the longer walk tonight, so we got some extra steps in, which was great. But now, I want to write. I want to exercise. And... I want to chill out. And I need to do something, because my brain isn't allowing the resting yet... Isn't it great when your mental health issues clash so much and so often with the physical health ones? Ugh....:bowie_stardust: I *know* that in 11 days, I will *need* to relax more than I'd like. It's a 6 week halt to me being active. And I'm already dreading the crash that my body and brain will experience... So yeah, I guess I will try to do now what I wanted to do during walkies with Arwen. I edited 4 old AI images that I made, so that they're "new" again for a re-use. I now need to find some texts. I know I have written many book quote posts so far, and I fear that sometimes I will repeat them, as I don't have the spoons (or means) to check the ones that I've already used in the past. But hey, I am reusing edited images as backgrounds, so that's new at least. And, I am getting the most out of the energy AI used to create the "original" images that I am recycling ♻️ now... 😇 Tally ho and all that, let's see if I can create four new posts with the newly made images. And, I do hope that Pixlr will reply to my email soon, as I would like to know why I keep getting the error when I try to use my usual Gmail to login to the app. I have a simple sub with them, and they're changing some things, so I wanted to edit my sub. But, when I try to do that, it just gives out the error... Very annoying... Well, blog work now. And, mentally preparing for two calls that I need to make today. One is for the mattress (still!) and the other one is with my bank, so I can get the payment through my wallet on my phone again. This used to be easier, but with all the security measures these days, they say I need a phone verification with my bank.
