✨ A new post design for a new era!
As we're building out the new metro5 UI, we're making some bold changes.
Hashtags, likes, comments and more will be available on the side menu.
That's right, no more hashtags in captions by default! 😎
1) Navigate to Admin -> Directory
2) Follow easy instructions
3) Submit!
We manually approve each entry and assign a category, and listings are removed when instance goes down or registration is disabled!
(They are checked every 15 minutes)
It's a pretty cool setup, unique in the fediverse we believe!
You might have heard us mention AI, let us clarify:
We built a powerful spam detection system into Pixelfed, and recently added NLP and a Naive Bayes classifier that is trained when you mark posts as spam or not spam
The more posts you train it on, the more accurate it gets!
This system is self-contained to your server, we do not use any 3rd party APIs
You can export the training data and share it openly (though you probably shouldn't as it would make it easier for spammers to bypass) ✨
Metro5 is the 5th major iteration of the @npub120zh...33r2 UI, a complete rewrite using Vue3 and Bootstrap 5!

Stories, Loops and Groups are features we're really excited for, but we want you to know they are supplementary to the main photo sharing experience.
Don't like Stories? Hide them!
Don't want to see Looping videos, or video posts, period? Hide them!
We will not shove Stories and Loops down your throat. We have no incentive to.
You will have the power to set your own experience.
