I guess I missed this but it's brilliant, I'd rage so hard if I tried this :odysee_laughing:
I know I need to fix the aspect ratio but I found a Genesis game that I loved as a kid but totally forgot about: Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin. I used to play the crap out of this game and I just happened to download a ROM of it as part of my return to Genesis games. Absolutely killer surprise! #retro #SEGA #SegaSunday image
If I had a time machine...
Three art styles I really wish we could bring back: - Memphis Design (vaporwave tried this to some degree of success) - Frutiger Aero - Whatever this late 80s/early 90s metallic logo style is called
Getting my new #SEGA Genesis controller has gotten me hooked back into my childhood love for the Genesis. I'm in the process of obtaining a metric crapton of ROMs, both ones I had physical copies of, as well as ones I never got the chance to play. While RetroArch (and a few other titles, even with Steam Input on) seems to struggle with the layout a bit, it's just good to go back. :megadrive: I mean, this is literally my desktop right now. Can you say "obsessed"? :odysee_laughing: #retro image
I find it intriguing that Phantasy Star 3 (not sure about the other games in the series) opted for a more realistic look to its character sprites, proportionally speaking. They didn't do the usual chibi style that most pixel art JRPGs always did (and still do). Gives that series a lot more of a serious tone overall, I'd say. #PhantasyStar #SEGA #retro #JRPG
I had forgotten how fun it is to play classic #Sonic using a Genesis controller. Man, feels so good to revisit that side of my childhood! #SEGA #retro #nostalgia
I just went through my #SEGA collection on #Steam and added those 60th anniversary game covers they released. A fun bit of customization! I'm just not sure what they were thinking by not having games align with the consoles they originally released on. I mean, Sonic Adventure on the Genesis? Nights Into Dreams on the Game Gear? Sonic CD on the Saturn? At least they got Shenmue right. Either way, it's cool for us Sega fans to play around with! image
Apologies for the atrocious photo work but today, I grabbed this beauty for my collection. Now I can authentically play my emulated Genesis games (and semi-authentically play other 16-bit era games) on my PC. Plus, I saved $8 grabbing it from the trade-in shop instead of buying online, so that's also a win! #retro #retrogaming #SEGA
