Live from the #NorthPole: From 10am tomorrow, our science team on board #Polarstern will be streaming live from #Arctic ❄️🚢 The video stream will feature a drone flying over areas of sea ice, open water and Polarstern at the North Pole. The team will accompany the stream with live commentary in English.

New #AWI study shows: #Photosynthesis is also possible in near darkness. The research team gathered these results on the #MOSAiCexpedition. Microalgae can build up biomass through photosynthesis in near darkness in the microalgae's habitat under the snow and ice cover of the #Arctic Ocean.
