The carnations are still producing blooms despite the short days and rainy weather, not enough to sell but enough to take home for the kitchen table. Carnations are nostalgic for us, a classic flower, once grown by many American farmers decades ago, now grown by very few due to cheaper imports from Columbia and Ecuador primarily. Maybe when we have an international neutral reserve asset like #bitcoin American farmers can grow these wonderful flowers for profit again. Iām happy to keep some going on our farm.
