husbear is officially quitting his job after playing a game of employment chicken with them for the past few months. I am proud of him! and if they obey the severance agreement then we will be financially okay for a bit! And I have already had him apply at internet archive and a couple other places, and set him up on my fastmail account so he has a very Employable-Lookingβ„’ email address! But also, if you know anyone who needs a remote worker to do library science, project management, gov RFPs or data historianship, consider this an invitation to hit me up with hiring links. #FediHire
We should do vaccine commercials that look like tampon commercials. It makes 1000% more sense to have a commercial consisting of a woman and her friends riding rollercoasters and hitting the beach and stuff when the product in question is a vaccine to make sure you don't die when someone's kid open mouth sneezes in your face! You could even do a blue liquid test, but have the blue liquid in a spray bottle sprayed at a mannequin's face like "See what kinds of germs you can get? Seriously, get vaccinated"

So, you know, in case you wanted to know how AI-first initiatives are going in the corporate world.
Having a CD player and unpacking my old boxes of CDs is great, because now my husband and I are hanging out in the living room listening to a gregorian chant cd that @npub1y9rh...vf9n got me for Christmas back in like 2011
Anyone here use Chimera Linux? If so, how is it? I've been intrigued for a while, and am considering it for this computer I'm building. Most of my Linux experience is Debian-based and rhel-adjacent distros, at least in terms of daily desktop tasks
