Can't believe Caves of Qud got to 1.0 before GNU Hurd did
I need more games that are competitive games that I can only describe as "theoretical sports". Things like Windjammers, rocket league, Pyre, lethal league or speedball. Something that's a videogame of something that has the trappings of a sport, but which does not exist IRL. It's a shame that Quidditch was invented by a transphobic nonce, because I think that's the most obvious example of what I'm talking about to most people
IRL: I slammed my dick in a car door
fedi: [ph-] ughghghghgh I slammed my dick in a car door AGAIN :neocar_woozy:
twitter: ๐ dics in car bio ๐
GNU mailing list: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Car door dependency in systemdick? - unacceptable, this car door uses a binary blob.
Reddit: I[F31] slammed my dick in a car door[Ford, 2014], AITA?
tiktok: [AI voice over Minecraft footage] Oh man, chat, I just unalived my eggplant by slimming it in a dart door
Linkedin: proud to announce that my team has boosted sales by 200% and DEMOLISHED all goals by using AI-powered car doors to CRUSH the competition (and my dick)
BlueSky: why car-door slamming is dangerous to the dick community. a thread ๐งต
NextDoor: NOTICE - a car door was seen in the neighborhood, slamming people's unmentionables. If you are the owner of this car, know that the police have been called
Today I am thinking about the fire marshals who have to deal with the customer service hell that is enforcing fire code at large cons. Like, imagine trying to keep a straight face while explaining to someone in a guy fawkes mask that, no, room occupancy limits are not a social construct, the building will literally cave in on itself if everybody attends this panel on macOS malware
Why does this sound ominous and/or horny

God has let me live another day, so it's time to make him regret that by seeing how hard it would be to write a kernel module in BASIC
The mandarin word for america is mei guo, "beautiful land"
the mandarin word for bagel is beiguo, a loan word from english.
Yes, the tones are slightly different, but I propose we start referring to New Yorkers as beiguo guo ren, "People from the land of bagels."
[Richard Stallman voice] I dislike kemono art...[sniff] the art is typically made in traditional media, which precludes free tools. [clears throat] the fox having boobs is not consistent with GNU ideals, as they never draw water buffalo boobs
I got an interesting object today: a print edition of The Onion, on actual newspaper paper and with that real newspaper smell.

security researchers: "Here is poc for a new vulnerability. In order to actually exploit this vulnerability, you have to put two computers in the upper troposphere, make sure they both have the exact same brand of hard drive, turn them both on at the same time so the rng matches and then, once you have all that handled, you could abuse the rng to make an alert happen on the other computer. Right now it takes 257 tries to work but, with more research, we might be able to get it working more often than that as long as there's no cosmic rays bouncing off the RAM."
News coverage about the vuln: "NEW 0-CLICK VULNERABILITY FOUND THAT CAN LEAD TO REMOTE CODE EXECUTION. RESEARCHERS SAY STABLE EXPLOIT CODE COMING SOON"
