> Western peoples naively believe that they live in democracies over which voting gives them some control. The facts are entirely different. There are numerous governmental and semi-governmental organizations at work creating tyranny of which the insouciant masses are unaware. > > As the tyranny creeps, each generation is born into more tyranny and less freedom. As time passes, tyranny becomes the norm, and no one understands or even is aware of the transformation into thought and behavior control that has been accomplished. - Paul Craig Roberts #GovtIsTheProblem
If you think that they think they are public "servants", you are deluded. Like Voltaire said, if you want to know who rules over you, look at who you are not allowed to criticize. View quoted note β†’

image In reality, the government never did truly shutdown, there were just vulnerable federal employees who didn't get paid for a while. Trump and Congress and the Supreme Court were still meeting and working and getting paid. I'd love to see a REAL government shutdown where there's no federal government activity! Why should flights all over the country have been affected? To me that shows that too much is the under the control of the federal government. It's an over-centralization and is a major central point of failure. The US #GovtIsTheProblem

"So ironically, the best reason to be a Jew is Jesus. Because we have good reason to believe in Jesus, we have good reason to believe in Yahweh."
> Only God in human flesh could predict the future of human history, much less utter the following sentence: β€œHeaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” This was perhaps our Lord’s strongest assertion of deity yet. His words will never pass away, though the heavens and earth will. The reason Jesus can speak of the future with such certainty is because his words are the words of God. -- Kim Riddlebarger, *A Case for Amillennialism: Understanding the End Times* (2003)
