The NY Media is so ready to tear Mamdani down. They can’t wait to see him fail. If he isn’t swallowed whole by the Pizza Rat, then he wins. It’s an impossible job. Anything would be better than nothing. Someone trying to do the right thing will earn a lot of good will.
But we shall see. I’m rooting for him.

We had the kids and grands over for Christmas. This is where we exchange gifts because they have their own families and traditions. I’m really pleasantly surprised by how well my strategy of giving books to everyone worked. I believe it will pay dividends. I truly do.

I’m seriously thinking about the physics of what it would take to get a runny egg on a Neapolitan pizza without making like 30 pies. Preferably by tomorrow.
The girls (wife, SIL, kids) made cookies the other night and one daughter made salty-sweet cookies that were amazing. So I asked my wife to make chocolate chip cookies that we finished with fluer de sel. Amazing.
I listen to music all the time, and mostly it’s in the background and fairly low in volume, but there’s nothing like blasting music at home.

There’s something quite pleasant about waking up early on your day off, then remaining in bed, dozing lightly and just enjoying the comfort and solace. There’s little better in life than having nowhere to be and nothing to do.
