Both in the Roadmap Workshop yesterday and going through the new features board today at Django on the Med 🏖️ we were able to have some really great discussions that allowed everyone to express themselves clearly and deepen our shared understanding. Agreements on issues that drag interminably online were easily to find in person. The bandwidth is just so much higher. #DjangoOnTheMed

The Python Forums have been unpleasant to go anywhere near for **months** now. (Since the bylaws change kicked off I think). It’s all down to a small group who insist on arguing without end. I get that Tim Peters is some sort of historical grandee but that shouldn’t mean he gets a pass. The whole lot of them should be banned, permanently if needed. “Stayed for the community” entails not letting them pollute the whole atmosphere like this. From: @Piper Thunstrom
