I give up. I've spent entirely too much time trying to figure out the best smoke detector replacement for my Nest Protects and am just going to have to settle for these shittier-but-still-overpriced First Alert ones. Every other option is more problematic in some other way.
Ffs this week and it's not even Friday but hey I got Zelled $11.56 from a class action settlement and also won a $100 gift card from a work step challenge thing so I guess I'm going to dizz knee land now.
Well, only took almost 13 years of me living here to finally experience an earthquake that was noticeable.
My phone actually alerted me before the shaking, but because I'd never heard an actual earthquake alert sound before I didn't know what it was until I picked up my phone, read the alert, went "really?" and then rumble rumble rumble, lol
Every time I have a BIOS update or Windows update I pray that it resolves whatever issue causes my Thunderbolt dock to need to be power cycled after a PC reboot for it to fully work, but it's probably just a chipset issue that won't ever be fixed until I get a new PC someday.
