In 2000 years there has been no progress in terms of morality, the proof being that we still need the New Testament as an incorruptible moral foundation.
It is not a matter of beliefs, it is a matter of determining what is right or wrong. For example, the law created by governments is useless because it is not fair from the point of view of natural law, and all the philosophy that has been written since the New Testament has simply been for the author's own enjoyment and to elevate themselves to fame.
At best, I could save stoicism, although from my point of view it is not entirely complete and relies too much on one's own suffering.
