Without an outside social or meat-flesh network, how do new users know who to follow on here? How do they sift through the noise to find signal? How can we optimize the user experience so users easily see the information that is being whistleblowed using the censorship resistant properties of the network?
How far down the rabbit hole should one go before it’s detrimental? What happens to people who go to far? Why should there be a balance? Why does small talk seem mundane compared to asking lifes most challenging questions?
Should people be encouraged to ask the toughest questions they can think of, even if there are inconvenient answers- or answers that just lead to more questions? Does asking questions lead to improved design decisions? Appreciate you all nostr fam Merry Christmas and happy New Yead
Hypothetically In what kind of ways could a bad actor abuse and hijack nostr? Fake accounts that steer conversation? Spam that creates a storage burden, denial of service attacks? Relays that surveil? What other wargame risks should be considered?
Could a social media company ever be co-opted by National security interests? Why might it be in their interests to do that? Would they use fake AI accounts to subtly shift and steer conversation? Could they analyze users history to target or identify users with dangerous ideas deemed a threat? Would they actively spin up user accounts with fake history and engage with users and probe them for further information? Could this be used for good? Could this be used for bad?
