📣 ASU Bitcoin Meetup Updates! 🚀 Next month marks one year since we launched Bitcoin Paraguay, and we’re doubling down on our mission to orange-pill Paraguay! To make our already successful meetups even better, we’re introducing some bold changes: 1. Breaking Tradition: We’re moving our meetups from the 1st Saturday to the 1st Wednesday of each month, starting with the next meetup on May 7! 🗓️ 2. New Venue: We’re swapping Palo Santo Brewery for Cé La Vie. Expect better sound, bigger space, and the same great vibe! 🎉 These are significant changes, but we’re confident the transition will be smooth. Thank you for your continued support!
🎥 HODL vs. SPENDL (ASU: Bitcoin Meetup 1/3/2025) Learn why you shouldn’t just HODL your bitcoin but use it for daily payments! @Jan Kotas introduces SPENDL, a concept opposing HODL, and shares strategies to accumulate bitcoin while using it as peer-to-peer money.
Organizamos el primer BitDevs Asunción, uniendo a entusiastas y desarrolladores de 8 países! Un hito para la comunidad tech de Paraguay. 🚀⚡ #Bitcoin
We already have 25+ merchants accepting Bitcoin around Asunción, with more joining every month. But education is just as crucial. That’s why, with the help of Trezor Academy (@Josef Tětek), we’ve started hosting Bitcoin for Beginners workshops before each of our regular meetups. 🚀 We’re building a true Bitcoin hub in Asunción, and solid education lays the foundation for further adoption - not just here, but across Paraguay. We know we can’t accomplish this mission alone, especially with limited resources we have. However we believe in creating momentum that will orange-pill a critical mass of people and trigger a domino effect. 💥 If we get enough business owners and influential people on board, Paraguay could easily become the next Bitcoin country. The impact of our hard work is already visible, but we’re still just getting started. We need more builders - locals and foreigners - who can join our forces or start their own Bitcoin projects. And we need sponsors to help sustain our efforts in the long run. Therefore I would like to thank our long-term sponsors, Hacking Lives (), Trezor () and @Blink Wallet, for their support. 🫶 If you run a company and are interested in sponsoring us, please reach out. We would like to scale our activities and expand our impact, but that's only possible with the right funding. 🚀
