Sign The Petition - Chuck Schumer Must Step Aside Will Bunch, as he so often does, said it best: A nation of heroes, a Senate of cowards - Americans out fighting for democracy while their Senate works to destroy it Chuck Schumer is keeping his head low, hoping like in the spring after the last betrayal, that Democrats will move on. Let's not move on. Schumer must go. We need heroes, not cowards. Sign the petition. @npub1ejmn...g9td
Now is a good time to replace Schumer. There are some who say don't contribute to Democratic chaos. Keep the focus on the Republicans that have created this mess. Feel like this is wrong. We need a fighter in leadership. We just had an election where the nation went overwhelmingly for Democrats and for democracy. The midterm primary season begins in earnest after the holidays. There is a window of opportunity now. In fact, now is the perfect time for Democrats to change leadership.
News: USA Today | Progressive group calls for Sen. Chuck Schumer to resign “Chuck Schumer should step down as Senate Minority Leader immediately... If he secretly backed this surrender and voted 'no' to save face, he’s a liar. If he couldn’t keep his caucus in line, he's inept. Either way, he’s proven incapable of leading the fight to prevent health care premiums from skyrocketing for millions of Americans. The country can’t afford his failed leadership any longer.”
Dems Must Now Back Away From This Deal Today Mike Johnson REFUSED TO COMMIT to an ACA vote in the House. This is the linchpin of the "deal". The key concession, and the GOP is already, BEFORE THE FINAL VOTES in the Senate, RENEGING on the deal. This is simple. The substantive Senate votes are still ahead. The GOP has already violated the deal. The Dems must now back away. View quoted note →
GOP RENEGS ON SHUTDOWN DEAL If any of the traitorous eight need a reason to flip back, here it is: "Democratic... senators who caved to support the Republicans’ continuing resolution Sunday claimed that they'd MANAGED TO SECURE A HOUSE VOTE on a bill ensuring the continuance of Affordable Care Act subsidies... Johnson WOULDN'T EVEN COMMIT to the vote Monday as reporters shouted after the fleeing Republican with questions about his plans." @npub1ejmn...g9td image
