Be wary of all these reports that the Democrats are about to cave on the shutdown. The sources all seem to be the administration's favorite access journalists. They pull this stunt quite regularly.
How to quit Home Depot. So, Home Depot is a terrible company, but you think you have no option. It's not true. First, there's Lowe's, which is much better. But, shopping local is also much easier than you think. Ace Hardware stores are locally owned, and the discounts from Ace Rewards add up fast. Lumber yards have better materials and free or low cost delivery. Plumbing and electrical supply stores normally used by contractors are great. Give it a try, dump Home Depot. You'll be glad you did.

 What is really important to understand here is if this 10+ point swing in rural areas across the nation can be sustained in the midterm elections all the GOP gerrymandering goes out the window, and can actually work against them. Gerrymandering works by taking 'safe' GOP districts and moving some of the voters to Democrat leaning districts. With a 10+ point swing this can actually result in the GOP loosing both districts.
