Minute Cryptic - 14 January, 2026 ( I'm getting uptight about these which is slowing me. I think this is a good intro clue for beginners in that it introduces many of the key elements of cryptic crossword clues. I need to relax a bit about these because it's interfering with solving them, I think it's partly that I keep immediately jumping to complicated solutions. I don't know. I'll get back to being more relaxed about them soon. I think I have to impose a mantra. Although repeatedly saying "don't be a dick about it" is not constructive before breakfast. If it were a newspaper or other cryptic crossword I'd want other letters filled in before totally committing to the answer. This one is otherwise fair and my hints were four letters.
