Fun trans thing of the day: trying to get medical staff to believe you when you say you don’t want to be alone behind closed doors with a man who has power over you in the form of medical authority of any kind, because that has gone unacceptably wrong in my recent past.
It has taken three conversations, including sending the resident back out to find someone before I’d consent to having him in the room with me.
He’s still looking for someone, going on ten minutes later.
I’m legitimately baffled that this is such an unusual request, apparently.
