Personally I think the "guns not politics" stance is not very productive if you ever want to talk about guns with a member of the public. Although Gun Jesus tries to pretend to be impartial about this, he is also a victim of Youtube censorship. You may be not interested in Gleichschaltung, but Gleichschaltung is interested in you. James Reeves is in the same boat. But they prefer to keep up the appearances. My interest in guns started from a simple observation that good people tend to be okay with guns, even enthusiastic about them, while bad people tend to be gun-grabbers, except for themselves, in order to use them as tools of oppression. However, ironically or hypocritically, I ended having a separate channel for the politics (@union), including the politics of gun rights and Universal Human Right For Self-defense, while this account is focused on the technology. But not exclusively! image
Hunger for Aimpoints remains severe. I'm on the list at Midway for months. Here's a funny testimony (equivalent of greentext, but in older media): "I was literally the first one through the door on the first day of the NRA show last month. I went directly to the Aimpoint booth and asked if they brought any ACRO P2's with them to the show, they said yes. I said I will take two. They threw in a Surefire Stiletto flashlight and a bag of Aimpoint coffee for my purchase."
I see what happened. Hickok posted a video on that Winchester SXP, the Extreme Defender FDE. What a mouthful, and why does defending need to be extreme? https://rumble.com/v2n54q3-winchester-sxp-extreme-defender.html

I'm watching Ian McCollum making excuses for poorly supporting chambers of P320, and thinking: what if your guys go into Ukraine or Syria and capture stocks of Russian 9mm ammunition? Russian 9mm Luger is known to be hot-rodded beyond all reason. They even built a special gun to shoot that stuff (the "PYa/Grach"). There might be some blown up M17s if that happens.
The P-F peeps keep dumping on FN Reflex, mostly on the account of FN-USA being fickle and untrustworthy. Some damn them with faint praise. "The FNS had an issue after first releasing (unintended discharge -- @gat). But they quickly fixed the problem, kinda was screwed after that though. Could never gain traction. My FNS had idk how many thousands of rounds through it with no issues." " Wow, the FN 503 had an amazingly short production life, even for a FN pistol. 3 years maybe?" "I like the 509. It's comfortable, seems reliable, and has given about 5 years of apparently good service. However, FN has earned their reputation and the only way to earn their way out of it is to show long, deep track records of support for new designs including the 509." (and the Reflex -- @gat)
