They need your help to fund their move and take care of the legal stuff, the transportation and apartment rent. Georgia is slowly being overtaken by russia politically, and the ruling party has adopted the anti-LGBTQ+ narrative and has made transition illegal.

Reading a biographical survey of a philosophical doctrine or movement is me agreeing with a philosopher's proposition and settling in with the arguments only to get a better argument countering it (by another philosopher) which is what I agree with now.
