NEED HELP FOR PARENT OF TRANS CHILD
I found myself talking to a woman who'd expressed that her female child was medically transitioning, and she worried it was a mistake and her child would face a difficult future due to regret or prejudice against gnc people.
I told her that she was not alone. I explained that while I'm childless and my main concern is men in women's spaces, she had a right to ask questions and that she was not alone in her misgivings.
She said her husband was more supportive and that while she had a support group to help her, it was an affirmation-only model. So she was only being supported into accepting the situation. She asked if I had any resources.
That's where you come in. I'm looking for resources for parents.
She is not in a very stable place mentally and has self-destructive tendencies so anything that won't terrify her or be like, " this is why WE'RE right and anyone who's not 100% against it after reading our document is a MORON and a BAD PARENT!!! who's a dirty tranny lover!!!" would be ideal.
